live out of your suitcase

one day never, in the far distant completely unforeseeable future,
i will never stop changing.
i fear that the death of our minds, is the minute we are content with our state and status in life.
i mean, being satisfied is one thing, but I think we can never achieve any kind of perfect state.

once someone thinks they have reached the pinnacle of "success",
according to their ruler, yard stick, scale, or other respective measuring device
increase it exponentially.
think inches to feet,
then feet to miles.
think in different terms,
miles to pounds,
pounds to fahrenheit,
and then
all of that to
lightyears.

success is held up by the consensus of society.
they should never be a barometer of your endeavors.

we need reminders that standing in one place, will cause the roots of everything
surrounding to overtake us.
we need reminders that if we float for too long, we will exhaust and drown.
staring at the sun makes you blind.

so all of your dreams,
the ones you have at night that make you think of all the yesterdays,
and the ones during the days that make you think of the tomorrow's.
these are your own, and can never be taken.
