has it ever occured?
that in our search for a modern day hero or some kind of role model to look up to,
we find ourselves looking for the villians our hero can fight?
why are there no conventional heros?
because there are no conventional villians.
so our superman, batman, and what-ever man has become un-employed and uneeded.
no white knight valiantly riding in to save the day
no unjustices to fight! no evil overlord to overthrow!
there is simply
no fucking contrast
between
what is
good
and
bad.
good and evil is no longer a timeless issue, because theres now a gray void in between the two that is incresingly subjective.
evil republicans?
or
self-righteous conservatives?
bloodsucking democrats?
or
understanding liberals.
everything is just to subjective now days.
everything is to politically incorrect.
as if one needs approval to state an opinion contrary to popular belief.
censor - censor -censor - censor
batman just isn't politically correct.

your thoughts on everything and everyone striving to be 'politically correct' is all too true. even M&M's went from "plain" to "milk chocolate;" the way things are no longer black and white--not even gray.
welcome to a world of antique ivory and gainsboro.
with that said, i'd walk around with an "i <3 al gore" t-shirt.
